Hi, my name is Ellen Nguyen and I’m the founder/creator of the UnitedOther— a spiritual goods company based in Los Angeles.

Coming to America from Vietnam with very little money, I was taught to be self made and to create financial security for myself. After making it to the top of the corporate ladder in the beauty industry at some of the most recognized brands in the world, I realized I wasn’t fulfilled. It took a toll on my emotional well-being and mental health.

Through learning from wise teachers, working with loving healers, and dedicating to a daily practice of meditation has allowed me to heal old wounds, rewrite outdated stories, and to gain clarity on my higher purpose.

The first step I took was to start a sacred incense and ritual goods company called UnitedOther in 2017. The inspiration came from my own personal need for trusted spiritual products for meditation and intention rituals. This single leap has changed my whole life in profound ways and continues to unfold.

UnitedOther aspires to bridge the widening divide between sacred rituals and the modern world by honoring the primary and natural technologies of our ancestors – the cave painters, the stargazers and the spiritual healers.

Through extensive research and explorations of sacred woods, herbs and tree resins from all around the world, each incense blend is intended to create an atmosphere of peace as well as serve a powerful purpose. From hand-dying the Nepalese paper to rolling each incense rope by hand, we've crafted our incense blends in small batches to ensure the highest quality and all created in our home city of L.A. The Tibetan-style incense ropes offer a pure and natural incense experience because they don't contain any charcoal, binding additives and synthetic fragrances.
