A former retailer, now turned wholesaler, I've been in the industry for over 25 years. I now manage 40+ sales reps for a great, multi-million dollar novelty sock and design company based in Santa Cruz, Ca.
I've built apparel programs for Fortune 500 companies, worked and managed entire design teams for large private label programs, worked in off-price and have sold everything from Hawaiian shirts to $50,000 stereo systems. I've met a number of characters over the years, have made as many friends as possible and try to live by the rule, "never say no, there's always a way, try to be kind to everyone you meet, because you never know when you might need them. and you can never have too many friends."
For fun, I work too much, sometimes drink too much, smoke too many cigars (apparently), work on the house, hang out with my wife and kids when I'm home and have been in a band for about 12 years. Rock and roll, baby.
