Freelance Retail Interior Designer & Visual Merchandiser

I live in Oxfordshire in the UK with husband Paul and our 2 kids (Vinnie & Nola). 2024 will be the 20th year since I graduated from Art college and started my career in the creative side of retail.

When I graduated from my Graphic Design degree, I cut my teeth working for IKEA where I worked for 2 years as a VM and interior designer. After leaving IKEA, I then moved over to the store design side and worked for some retail design agencies and shopfitters for a few years. Missing the shop floor, I have then flipped back and fourth between visual merchandising and desk based design work for the last 16 years!
I think this is what gives me a bit of an edge as my knowledge of working on the shopfloor influences my design work and vice-versa.
During my career I've been an area VM for JoJo Maman Bebe (childrenswear chain). Up until 2020 I was the Head of VM (for the UK partnership) for Flying Tiger Copenhagen for 7 years. I joined Tiger when they had only one store and then grew with them as it peaked at 45 stores.

Since losing my Flying Tiger contract in 2020 due to the pandemic, I've been focusing again on store interior design. Working more and more for independents.

We moved to Oxfordshire in 2022 to be closer to family and I'm currently working on building up a local client base, as well as freelancing for shopfitters and design agencies.
